Voces Inmigrantes

Portraits & stories of immigrant dignity and resilience

What does it mean to belong when the world keeps telling you that you don’t?

Voces Inmigrantes is a short film and portrait series capturing the voices of immigrants living in the United States today—parents, workers, students, dreamers—each one carrying a past, a border, and a hope.

Filmed and photographed across Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, this piece was created to honor the dignity, complexity, and humanity of immigrant lives.

Released on September 15th 2025, this version was crafted specifically for regional audiences and award consideration.

This project was made possible with the support of our community and the trust of those who shared their stories.

Filmed in the DMV.
